CCIA Food PantryThe CCIA Food Pantry is committed to stay open during this time of national health emergency with coronavirus. We will maintain our normal open hours at both pantry locations. We have changed the process in how we package and hand out food. We ask for your patience in this as we do our best to keep you our guest and volunteers safe.
If you are experiencing any symptoms we ask that you consider the health of others and not visit the pantry. If you can designate someone to pick up food for you we will try our best to accommodate your need. A simple letter to the pantry designating someone to pick up food for you and then sign your name. For the safety of all we ask that you please wear a face mask. If you do not have one we can provide one for you. Guidelines
FOOD PANTRY: WEATHER RELATED CCIA will close the food pantry when the Canandaigua School District Closes in the event of severe winter storms or when severe weather is predicted. For the safety of our volunteers and guests, the Food Pantry may also close during other weather related times. FOOD PANTRY HOLIDAY CLOSINGS CCIA will close the food pantry at both locations during several of the holiday seasons. CCIA will post these closing in advance at the food pantry and on our website. CCIA BACK PACK PROGRAM Back Packs are a growing outreach to help provide food to students during school breaks. Many students receive breakfast and lunch when school is in session. What do students do when they go on school break? CCIA is proud to partner with the Canandaigua Primary / Elementary School to provide back packs to students during these school breaks. Back Packs are bags pre-filled with a variety of food items that are purchased through FOODLINK. Each school break CCIA is notified of the number students that are participating. CCIA then orders these bags and they are delivered directly to the school for distribution. School staff will then hand out the backpacks to the children prior to the school break. Currently CCIA provides these Back Packs during four school breaks. CCIA is looking to expand our number of Back Pack distributions in the coming 2018-2019 school year. CCIA Resource Room
"Making Connections With Resources For Help" Currently the CCIA Resource Room is closed during the health care emergency with the corona virus. The phone is checked once a week for messages. It is best if you call the Emergency providers directly.
