CCIA Executive Director-Ministry Position
Qualifications
• Lives the mission statement, faith and values statements of CCIA-dedicated to serving God-meeting the needs of the less fortunate
• Is a worshipping, active member of their church
• Keeps the mission, faith and values statements at the forefront of all interactions and decisions
• Has strong “people skills”- communicates effectively and understands the critical tools of communication
• Is technologically competent
• Is well organized with time/resources and staff
• Delegates well to others and provides appropriate oversight
• Leadership experience preferred-with volunteers, or in other not-for- profit organizations
• Experienced with grant searching/writing:state,federal,not-for profit
• Timely in completing tasks-especially those that are time-sensitive
• Is effective with both the “big picture” and the details of a multi-faceted and expanding organization
• Balances the needs of the various components of CCIA and can integrate multiple goals
• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent life experiences
Job Description
Advocacy/Communications
• Functions as the chief advocate for continuing and enhancing collaboration among individual churches and CCIA efforts and explores new collaborations
• Serves as the spokesperson of CCIA and all its services
• Ensures representation of CCIA as an active participant in city, county, regional and community initiatives-attending meetings and training opportunities
• Coordinates regular communications regarding CCIA initiatives-with the media, with constituent groups and within the CCIA consortium
• Meets with the local Clergy Association and seeks new relationships
Administration
• Oversees and coordinates the day –to-day operations of the ministries and on site services of CCIA and its partners
• Monitors the day-to-day operations to insure safe and sound practices and compassionate treatment of all clients
• Understands the working operations of each CCIA ministry and facilitates communication and a positive working relationship of all staff/volunteers
• Oversees processes ,policies and procedures to insure client databases are accurately and confidentially maintained
• Supervises the facilities including the appropriate utilization of space, security, and sanitation; functions as the liaison with the leaseholder
Board Relations
• Implements all Board policies and directives
• Reports to the board on a regular basis regarding the status of CCIA operations:site facilities, volunteer activities, advocacy and public relations efforts-providing a written report at each Board meeting
• Coordinates with the Board chairperson to set meeting agendas and any other communication events
• Communicates with the treasurer to be fully informed as to budget/expenditure process and meets regularly with the treasurer to monitor sound financial practices and works within the limits and structures of the budget
Volunteer Oversight
• Works with the Volunteer Coordinator to be knowledgeable about all volunteer activities:recruitment,selection.training, supervision to insure safe and sound practices, maximizing the utilization of volunteer gifts and strengths
• Ensures ongoing communication with on-site volunteers and work teams-providing information/updates
• Coordinates regular volunteer appreciation opportunities, acknowledging their positive impact on CCIA’s mission
• Coordinates all systems to ensure volunteer databases and paperwork is accurate and maintained

Position Requirements
The Executive Director’s position will be approximately 20 hrs/week- with both daytime and evening obligations-flexibility will be necessary. Funding for this position is currently being sought.
